The Detroit Foundation Hotel is a 100-room boutique hotel housed in the former Detroit Fire Department Headquarters, a Neo-Classical building constructed in 1929. Designed by Hans Gehrke, it served as the fire department's hub until 2013. It was renovated and reopened in 2017, blending historic preservation—including original white glazed brick and fire truck doors—with modern, Detroit-centric design.
